About Wondr Out

Find the places you’ve been missing.

Whether you’ve got an hour, an afternoon, or a whole weekend, we cut through the noise so you spend less time searching and more time actually out there.

The story

Why I started this

“There’s nothing to do here.” It’s a phrase you’ll hear from locals in every city. But you know how it goes. You’ll spend hours opening tabs, scrolling TikTok and Instagram, finding the same five spots over and over.

The problem isn’t that your city lacks good places. It’s that the good ones don’t have the right marketing for you to ever find them. So you fall back on the same handful of recommendations, while the cool stuff stays buried.

I’d travelled all around the world before I’d really experienced my own city. When I started looking properly, I realised there was a heap on my doorstep I’d never even known about.

So I built Wondr Out. Instagram and TikTok inside a Google map. A single place to discover the perfect activity for what you and your friends are feeling, without the hour of tabs.

What we stand for

Three things we care about

The right spot for the right mood

Whatever the moment calls for, there’s a spot worth your time.

Decide in seconds

Just a photo, a video, and what you actually need to know. Pick a spot in seconds, not minutes.

Show a city at its best

Locals know what makes their city special. I’m here to put it on display, every cafe, beach, hike and hidden bar that makes you go “how did I not know about this?”

Behind Wondr Out

Hi, I’m Josiah

Josiah, founder of Wondr Out

Born and raised in Perth, and right now I’m the only one behind Wondr Out. No team, no marketing committee. Just me.

I’d travelled all around the world before I’d really experienced my own city. When I started looking, I realised there’s a heap on my own doorstep I’d never even known about. And every website I found said the same thing.

So I built this. Not just to help locals find the best thing to do on a weekend, but for tourists too. A place to actually showcase the best of what a city has to offer.

If you’ve got a spot worth adding, a venue to partner with, or just want to chat about a city, I’d love to hear from you.
